Objectives

The objective of the LDPG is to promote effectiveness and harmonization of development assistance in support of national development goals and systems in Uganda by:

  • Coordinating Development Partners’ joint dialogue with the Government
  • Improving linkages to key budget and planning processes and the use of national systems for programming, financing and review
  • Facilitating the use of joint reviews, joint analytic work, joint missions and other harmonization initiatives
  • In-depth discussion on development issues/challenges that are of mutual interest

To achieve the above objective, the LDPG aligns it's interventions to international agreements and commitments on development effectiveness, including the following;
